It certainly isn’t headline news that profit margins are pretty slim in construction. Small savings can have a positive impact on profits. One avenue to increase that bottom line is to control the tools, equipment and material loss that occurs all too often on construction projects. At first thought, you may react by saving to yourself, that’s no big deal. However, reports suggest that contractors grossly under estimate the total cost of their losses. It is estimated that contractors only realize 10% of their actual losses.
To get a better perspective on how crime is affecting the Michigan construction industry, we have produced a brief survey to find out what crime-related losses were incurred in 2007. Click here for the survey.
